Scotty Boxa delivers over 60 recipes that hit all the right notes: comforting, flavorful, and unfussy. The pictures are over amazing. You won’t find any hard to find ingredients or complicated equipment here—just real food that warms you up from the inside out. The best part? He sprinkles in his laid-back Aussie humor and keeps everything flexible enough for gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian eaters (without sacrificing taste). My favorites are the Southwestern Corn Chowder and Creamy Roasted Califlower Soup

The soup photos in this cookbook are truly appetizing. In particular, the chickpea noodle soup looks so delicious that I want to try making it myself. The ingredients and recipes are explained in detail, making them easy to follow.

One small downside is that there aren’t many recipes using seafood.

I really enjoyed this book! The collection of colorful soups is great, and I love how everything is clearly categorized—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free—it makes it so easy to find what works for different diets. The explanations are simple and to the point, which I appreciate since I don’t always have time for long-winded recipes.

I read the ebook, but honestly, I should’ve gotten the paperback. This is the kind of book you want to have in the kitchen, flip through, and get inspired by. If you’re into making soups, this is definitely a great one to keep on hand!

This book is beautifully presented with dozens of delicious recipes that are easy to follow. Include pictures, cook and prep time and calories, however, otherwise doesn’t include nutritional information.

So glad that I got this book. There simply is nothing like a good hearty soup on a cold, winter day. And this book is chock full of them. I can’t wait to try a lot of these. I’ve only tried the Sunday Chili thus far, but it was spectacular. We opted not to use the bacon (one in our house won’t eat pork), but it was still excellent. Adding the avocado was a game changer. We just used Scoops tortilla chips to eat it. Every time someone went by the crock pot, they grabbed a few chips and loaded them with the chili.

I love having soup during the cold weather months and this book is great. I enjoyed all of the photos of recipes and especially that it includes some instant pot recipes as well.

A rich book of soup and stew recipes. The recipes are presented clearly. Each recipe lists many features, such as preparation and cooking time, number of calories, and servings. The list of ingredients appears in two accepted forms of measurement. Preparing the recipe is divided into stages. Next to each recipe, there is a clear picture of the final result. The recipes are not complicated to follow, but the result is very high. Using the book will impress your guests. I recommend the book.

This book has some good stuff in it. I’ve made a few of the soups and stews, and they’ve all been decent. Simple, you know? Good for a weeknight. He throws in some different flavors, which is nice, but nothing too complicated. If you’re looking for a cookbook with some solid, easy soup and stew recipes, it’s worth checking out. I’ve been happy with it. Try the queso chicken chili and southwestern corn chowder, OH YEAH. Appreciate his sense of humor.

I’ll be honest—I used to think soup was just a lazy meal for when you’re sick. This book is packed with recipes that are not only ridiculously easy but also full of bold, exciting flavors.
What I love most is how flexible the recipes are. Forgot an ingredient? No problem—Scotty’s got swaps for almost everything. Plus, most soups actually taste better the next day, which means I’ve been living off leftovers like a king. Whether you’re meal prepping, cooking for a family, or just want something warm and satisfying without too much effort, just open a page and start preparing… It’s comfort food at its best, and I’m officially a soup guy now.
